I’ve searched tumblr, mostly because I wanted reassurance that I wasn’t the only one that felt like this. But I couldn’t find it. I’m the exact opposite of everyone. Everyone craves a relationship. Everyone wants someone to be there for them and stay even though that person is the most difficult to be with. But me, I don’t want that. I’m terrified of relationships. Every relationship that someone tries to start with me, eventually I shut my emotions off so even I don’t know how I honestly feel about the person. And then I push. I push them away. I stop talking to them, or in rare occasions try being mean. I try everything in my power to push that person away. Why am I like this ? Why am I the only person who does this ? I’m not scared of letting them in, I’m never a person that’s been scared to confide on someone, or rely on someone to be there for me. I’m scared of what a relationship asks from me. It expects two people to fight against each other to stay with each other. It expects me to not only be there for someone but for them to be there for me in return. It expects two people to be completely vulnerable with each other. And it expects two people to be intimate with each other. I guess intimacy is what I’m most scared about. Having someone see you’re every flaw, having someone close to you’re private areas and you close to there’s. Actually allowing someone to physically be inside you is such a terrifying thing for me. And there are so many reasons that I’m scared of it. Mostly because I don’t know what I’m doing. I have no control of the situation. It requires someone to be completely vulnerable. The biggest trust exercise of your life. And I can’t trust anyone.
